What Can you do

with a log Pile?

A pendant necklace with a faux jade stone.

‍    Since I provide most of the starting images for PFCC, you’s think that I’d pick one that I’d like to work with, or that suited my taste. You might even think that I’d try images out before I let the rest of the group in on it. Nope. Basically, I search various royalty-free no cost stock image sites for a theme associated with the week the starter image will go up. Like Valentine’s day, or New Year, or even the season like winter. I generally pick something that needs a little fix-up before it can be used in a composite. Last December, I sat down and picked enough starter images to get me through the end of March — the lazy or is that efficient) photographer strikes again.

‍    So when this pile of logs that had an interesting texture came up, and I really started to work with it, I discovered that the orange color cast was horrid, and couldn’t be fixed. I figured the only solution would be to recolor it altogether. I ended up with this faux jade pendant — indeed, a far cry from the original.
